Mother's bread rising bowl...

I have so many wonderful childhood memories and the other day as I was cooking up a batch of my children's favorite brownies, I pulled this beautiful bowl out from underneath my counter.
Remembering all the memories attached to this bowl brings lots of happiness to me.
We had a pull out cutting board in the home where I grew up and funny enough I have one in my kitchen also. I was able to walk right under it when my mother was baking. She must have made lots of bread because I remember loving to stay just underneath the cutting board and hugging her legs...sweet memories of my mother in the kitchen cooking up nutritious yummy stuff for us.
It's funny now that I think of it, most of my sweetest memories are attached to a kitchen item. Like the electric skillet my grama cooked us bacon on, etc. Anyhow, thank you mom for giving me this bowl and thank you most of all for every minute in the kitchen that I spent with you!!!

Silhouette Photography

This is my daughter, Savanna. A picture is worth a thousand words...she is a cutie! She posed for this picture for me. I'm trying to figure out how to turn a photo into a silhouette in black and white. I have tried in Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 and it is so crazy. I'm totally lost. If anyone has some info to help me, please let me know. I've been on the computer for most of yesterday and today and I still can't figure it out. HELP!!!!
It is a nice silhouette, you have to agree...

PURE SIMPLE BEAUTIFUL

These sweet little clovers. I've always loved them for is long as I can remember. Cool to the touch, even on the hottest of days. Their tiny little petals, smooth and delicate. I just love them! I once thought I could be in the Guinness Book of World Records by having the longest clover chain. I tried to tie as many together as I could. My plan was to go around the block several times. I made it half way down the block and it took me most of the day as I can remember.
I have an ability to find a four leaf clover in almost every patch of I inspect. I just can't help it. I'm drawn in...the irrisistable shades of green and the anticipation of finding that little treasure! I love clovers. These are a few of my favorite things!
Over the next week or so I am going to write about My Favorite Things.
If you have any favorite things you would like to list, please do! It's always nice to share things we love!

I am so grateful to have my sister... We, together are entering the homeschool world with so much possibility! I have been reading lots of blogs on the subject this evening and I am suddenly so aware of what it means just to be able to HOME school. I am at awe of just how great life can be but am equally aware of the action that it takes.

I am on my road to taking action. Within myself, my relationships, my home, and oh those precious kiddos of mine!! I just purchased a new camera and a pictures I am a takin'!
I plan to just ramble about any and everything. I'm a bit scattered but I'm getting it alittle more together as time goes.

I just want to tell you, Meredith, that I don't know what I would ever do without your wonderful support and friendship in my life! You are a terrific sister, friend, mother, daughter and wife! I'm just so overjoyed to be going on this adventure with you! Go Us!!!
